Adult Waiver Program

At AA Plus Driving School, we are pleased to inform you that we offer the Adult Waiver Program. This program is supported and approved by the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles. By completing this program, you’ll be able to skip the 60-day waiting period, and our driving school will administer the road test. You will not need to take a road test at the DMV.

This program is NOT for beginner drivers. You must have at least 10 hours of prior driving experience to qualify for the Adult Waiver Program with AA Plus Driving School.

This is how it works:

• This program is for drivers 18 years of age and above.
• You must have completed the learner's permit exam at DMV and have the learner’s permit or documentation indicating you’ve successfully completed it.
• You must complete 36 hours of classroom or 30 hours of online courses. This program will exempt you from the 60-day waiting period.
• You’ll have 7 sessions of driving practice and 7 sessions of observing. (Each session is 50 min)
• Upon completing both components successfully, our driving school will issue you the Adult Waiver Certificate of Completion, which you’ll take to the DMV. You will be issued a temporary license on the same day, and a permanent license will be mailed to the address listed in DMV records.
• The DMV will not administer a behind-the-wheel test. Our test will fully satisfy all of the DMV’s requirements.

Behind-The-Wheel for Adults

• One-on-one Behind-The-Wheel driving lessons for adults and senior citizens
• Special package rates for beginners and those who just want to prepare for the driver's skill examination (on-road test)

• Driving lessons from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM, 7 days a week
• Complete preparation for on-road test at various DMV locations in Northern VA
• Cars for the on-road test
• FREE pickup and drop-off from home, school, or place of work
• Insurance discount certificate. It may qualify you to receive up to 10% discount on the premium for your automobile insurance
• We use late-model 4-door sedans with automatic transmission and dual controls
• Each Driving Session is 50 minutes

• Per Hour: $55.00
• Registration fee: $25.00
• 5-hour Package: $265.00
• 7-hour Package: $349.00
• 10-hour Package: $449.00
• Driver's Improvement Clinic: $80.00
• (DMV) Re-examination course for 3 test failures (8 hours): $150.00
• Road Test service: $150.00 (Road service includes pickup and drop-off as well as the use of our car for the road test)
